The results of the inaugural competition have just been announced. The UK, well England actually, makes a good showing as the location of the top two images with another in 5th place. The winning shot, by Neil Burnell, shows the benefit of living close to a stunning location. In this instance, it is Wistmans Wood on Dartmoor and I have seen a number of shots taken by Burnell from there. In each case, the wood is shown in mist and the result really is magical. It is possible to get such shots on a random visit, of course, but it will require an element of luck.
