Fuji X-H1

Postby Mike Farley » Wed 22 Aug 2018, 09:18

I was slightly confused by the introduction of the Fuji X-H1 earlier this year, since with an X-T3 with a next generation sensor likely to be announced for Photokina, its shelf life appeared to be relatively short. Fuji's recent price reduction would seem to back that up and the premium pricing was taking advantage of a short term marketing opportunity. Not that the Fuji X-H1 is a bad camera and it has the useful benefit of IBIS. Over at The Online Photographer, Mike Johnston has asked for people's views and it turns out that it many ways it is an improvement over the X-T2. I am hoping that these enhancements will make their way into the X-T3, although Fuji has said IBIS will not be included. It is a way of differentiating, I suppose, although I wonder if it will be sustainable longer term now that the mirrorless market is starting to hot up.
