This Is a Surprise

No, not that another film stock is being discontinued, but that Agfa still exists. I thought that it had gone out of business a long time ago. It turns out that the main Agfa-Gevaert company is doing well but in 2004 divested its consumer imaging division to a management buyout. The latter had the rights to continue using the Agfa name but filed for bankruptcy a year later. Evidently that resulted in a restructuring which allowed the offshoot to continue trading.
