Lightroom Classic Performance Improvement

Postby Mike Farley » Tue 30 Jan 2018, 08:29

Lightroom performance was supposed to have been improved when Adobe introduced the "Classic" version last year. It was a claim I found difficult to verify as I switched to it as part of a computer upgrade. My new Windows PC was considerably more powerful than its predecessor and while performance was certainly better, it still seemed lacklustre. That was despite using Intel's latest and most powerful i7 processor. It now transpires that Adobe is apparently just at the start of a mission to transform Lightroom's responsiveness.

It seems that I was not the only one who thought that the initial release of Lightroom Classic fell short when it came to the claimed performance enhancements.
