Landscape Photographer of the Year 2017

This year's winners have been announced.

There is a free exhibition which runs from 20 November to 4 February, which is again on display at Waterloo Station.

One thing which I do not recall from previous years is that a number of the winning shots were taken using drones.

The overall winner is a very minimalist shot. I first saw it in last weekend's Sunday Times magazine where it was not very well reproduced and the subtle colouring was lost. The paper had also used some of the "blank" space at the top to include some text. I like it better now that I can see it properly. I cannot find any technical details, but suspect the viewpoint is from a drone.
