This might well be the first photography magazine cover which was shot with a mobile phone.

Interestingly, the B&W Picture of the Year print at my club was an iPhone pic...
Processed in LR and Photoshop, and printed well, you would never have known its provenance.

Impressive. It's not the journey which matters but the destination.
It turns out that iPhone derived magazine covers are more common than I thought.

Hi folks,
Not sure how this fits date-wise but the Australian Vogue magazine caused a bit of disquiet amongst professional fashion photographers with their last issue. See
http://fipp.com/news/industrynews/elle-australia-shoots-cover-editorial-iphoneTheir front cover has Margaret Zhang shot at sunset on Sydney’s Bondi Beach with an i-phone seven plus. Mind you it was taken by a leading fashion photographer, Georges Antoni, who clearly knew exactly what he was doing.

The phone cameras are getting better, though depth of field-wise they will always be at a disadvantage with their smaller sensors I guess.
Cheers,
Graham
