London Parks

London is the greenest capital city in Europe, with three thousand public parks, woodlands and gardens totalling 35,000 acres.
With amazing parks, landscape, people, wildlife galore there are plenty of options for photography, so show us what you found when you went to visit.

Not sure where to go? Stay in Croydon or take a trip further afield? Have a look at London Gardens Online for a wealth of information and different ways to search.

Remember, you can take as many pictures as you like, but the challenge is to choose one favourite to post in this thread.
Also feel free to share a few words about the park you went to: Was it your first visit? Will you return? Was it easy or difficult to find your chosen photo?

Just so happens we went to Morden Hall in Morden last Monday. We had never been before and it was a revelation.
We drove there (parking is free for National Trust members). You can get the tram and alight at the Phipps Bridge stop which is on the other side of the park.
There is a cafe and nursery style shop. Not much wildlife when we were there but I'm sure other times there will be.
Would definitely go again.

Tina, lovely shot of the Bridge. Glad you enjoyed Morden hall. Will confess I've never gone either.

Hi Tina,
Every one is able to delete their own images or alter their own text in what they have posted.
There is a little edit box at the top of the post that you click on which allows you to make the changes.
Alternatively the moderators Mike or Peter could do that for you.

I have been to Morden Park some 2 years ago. Lots of bumble bees on flowers. Also different aspects of the River Wandle.

Best wishes,
Iggy
