Re: Post-processing Challenge

Decided to try some post-processing in PhotoShop. Always wanted to make a Red Bus stand out in a Black & White image. A quick search on the internet told me how to do it. I could have cleaned up the red on the truck, but I was being a bit lazy. Regards, Iggy It works very well Iggy, well done !...

How do I find you on Flickr, Iggy? Are you not in the Croydon CC Flickr group also?

Hi Laura,
Accidentally called it a gosling rather than a cygnet.
Thanks,
Iggy

No worries Iggy! I think Beddington Park would be a good local place for a club camera walk. Light to die for. I love it.

Re: Laura's Shot of the Week January 2019

Week TWO. A rather gloomy post-festivities image, I know, but I have had a very busy week learning how to use Flickr !! Hi Laura There is nothing wrong with a bit of comment on current events in a Project 52. One of my options for this week is a reference to Brexit, if I have the courage to cope wi...

I guess it is the ugly duckling about to change into a swan.
So technically still a cygnet?

I guess technically that is what you might call it. Where did you take it?

Re: Shot of the Week 2019 - 01 - Mithras and the Girl

Thanks for the feedback, Frank. I agree that it is surprising how much detail can be recovered from a seemingly blown highlight. Having been used to photography in the days of film, ISO 3200 seems very high to me! It is the sort of shot which digital imaging makes possible. I cannot imagine going b...

Re: Change your genre

Laura, happy to keep you company for street photography. Best tips I got are; Go out with a plan eg; take a picture of someone looking at you; get someone to agree to have their picture taken. Something with yellow. Allow a bit of space to allow the magic to happen. Eg someone to walk into the fram...

Re: Photo Challenge 2019

Hi Peter, Can I keep images in Photostream and also have them in an Album? Thanks, Iggy Hi Iggy, I think you have to have everything in your photostream, and then you can sort things out in albums etc. I d be interested to see if Peter agrees - I have been learning a lot about Flickr in the last we...

Alright, street photography... A definite challenge for me. Might take a while to get the courage to post on here. Watch this space though...
