Re: Cityread Display at Croydon Central Library

UPDATE Croydon Library has been very pleased with the display with a lot of people taking an interest in it and stopping to take a look. In fact, so well received has it been that South Norwood Library now wants to put it on show during May. I have agreed to this subject to the proviso that no one r...

Re: PAD 117 - A Leaf Out of Damien's Book!

Not on this occasion as I thought I would get feedback from others and the weather had not been too promising beforehand. Those who did go up gave good reports, so it seems to be something that is worth doing. The only proviso is that weekends seem to sell out several days ahead, so it is a £25 gamb...

PAD 117 - A Leaf Out of Damien's Book!

Day 117 and I went on a camera forum meeting at London Bridge. I found these people eating in a shaft of light at Borough Market and thought back to Damien Demolder's Wratten Lecture. Near the beginning he demonstrated a technique to isolate figures by deliberately underexposing when they are lit by...

PAD 115 - Flying Chairs

Day 115 and there was a travelling fair in Lloyd Park so I went down there just before it opened. The idea was to take pictures of the empty rides and stalls, but I found when I got there that the area was fenced off. This flying chairs ride was by the edge of the arena and they seemed to be testing...

I had seen those, but correctly reckoned that Dave would object to toning anything down, so went for the one I considered to be most critical. ;)

Yep, reshooting would have been a better option if I wanted to go that way.
