Priddy
Those of you who came to Somerset in April should recognise this tree at Priddy. The pond is looking amazing at the moment with a spectacular display of cotton grass. I won't mention the midges and horseflies though... :? And it's the season for adders... Priddy Pond 4 (800).jpg Priddy Pond ...

Thanks Sarah, it went very well and I'm doing pretty well so far. Lots of physio over the next few months and I'm looking forward to getting my big lenses out ag...

Re: Somerset Trip
Gutted I couldn't join you this time as I was recovering from having had major surgery just a few days earlier. It looks like you had a great weekend and I look forward to seeing more of your photos. Nice to see pics of Priddy, which is 5 minutes from my house

Re: Club weekend away: going west
The Avalon Marshes are well worth going to - there are actually four reserves, plus another two close by. It will be a good time of year to hear (and if you're lucky, see) the Bitterns which the marshes are famous for. http://avalonmarshes.org/ Nearby seaside locations that are good for photography ...
