Re: Street Photography

Interesting location. Thanks for sharing. Are you proposing an outing in March? I had a look at the link to St Dunstans website and it certainly peeked my interest. If you are suggesting a trip (in March), like Mike, I would be interested. (21st is out because some of us are off to the NEC for the ...

Re: Digital Camera Controls

Occasionally I use my Canon 1DX in mirrorless mode. There is a button on the front of the camera designed especially for this. I sometimes find I'm unable to use the viewfinder to compose my photograph so I press the button and hold the camera above/alongside/under/over the obstruction and use the s...

Re: Apple's "Photos" Beta

withdrawal of support would be a major blow Mike, I don't know about you but my version of LR is the cloud version (part of the CC suite). If Adobe were to discontinue it I would be screwed. Others may be lucky if they had bought the product as a stand alone program but I signed up for the Creative...

Me too!

The second shot is a bit moody and the monochrome seems to suit it.

Re: Apple's "Photos" Beta

That's surprising to hear, which software have they done that with? I can't remember all of Apple's dumping history but one instance I can - Apple introduced a product a number of years ago amongst which was an email product with a unique address which is where I got my ".mac.com" address...

Re: MASTER TROPHY

Wally I note that you missed the last Council meeting when the subject was set but David Newman did include it in the minutes of the meeting (para. 9.1). You'll also find it under Announcements! However, the set subject is "HOME AND AWAY". Good luck with that one; I for one will probably n...

which will leave former Aperture users looking elsewhere for more advanced features I had moved over to LightRoom long before Apple's announcement but it would be interesting to check it out once it does arrive. Though I doubt that I'll be moving back to Apple - they have a tendency to introduce so...

Re: Replacing Memory Cards

Did formatting the card in camera sort out the problem or was the space gone for good? Yes, reformatting in camera did sort out the problem so I still have my full compliment of five cards. I generally rotate these although on the Bleeding London project I've tended to use just two. (Although I don...

Re: Replacing Memory Cards

" Do not delete individual images on your computer ..." ??? I think what is meant here is not to use the computer to delete files from the card before ejecting it. I deleted several hundred images from a card before returning it to the camera. Unfortunately I didn't check the card after t...

Re: APOY Success

Well done, Mike. Although I would have put your shot above the second place one. Am I biased :?:

It would seem your camera bag has just got heavier
