Re: Street Photography With Damien Demolder - Very Special O

Unfortunately, one of the original participants can no longer make this date, so there is currently a spare place which will be allocated to the first applicant.

I have now received the required number of applications for the course to go ahead on 20 July and all ten places have been alloccated, so this is now a firm date. Three members of Croydon Camera Club will be attending and the remaining people are from other clubs in the South London Federation. As t...

Re: PAD 130 - Bluebell Wood

I went up to staffhurst Wood a couple of weeks ago but the bluebells are late this year and there weren;'t so many out. I also like Andrews Wood in Shoreham When I went, the bluebells seemed to be at their peak. I would like to make a return visit when there is some sun, but that has been in short ...

PAD 133 - Dining Hall

Day 133 and a walk around Balliol College, Oxford, where the dining hall was being readied for a meal. From a compostional viewpoint, the portraits in the background turned out to be very important despite being out of focus and on the edge of the picture. This is the full image, but in an earlier v...

Hughenden was Disraeli's country retreat and he chose to be buried in the vaults of the local church, which is seen in this image. It was raining when I took this picture and the light dull, so I opted to ...

A New Flickr

Flickr has just revamped itself and has a new design. The good news is that everyone now automatically gets a terabyte of space, so there is no limitation of the only being able to see the last 200 photos for free accounts. Less welcome is that the site will now be supported by advertising unless an...

Re: Adobe Moves to Subscription Model for Photoshop

Mike Johnston at The Online Photographer has just published his views. The comments section is interesting as a number of people have mentioned alternatives to Photoshop which could be worth investigating. Someone has even posted a link to download CS2 complete with serial number from Adobe. It is m...

Re: Adobe Moves to Subscription Model for Photoshop

Check out piccure.com, similar idea but I doubt it's as sophisticated or as good as Adobe's offering. Having said that it's currently free. According to the website, piccure is currently in beta and is only available as a free 14 day trial. Which definitely seems odd. I'll find a selection of pictu...
