Hi Mike,
Do you know what price Wessex Picture's Pulp Board, item code PB1, would be? Considering as a partial alternative to the very robust but heavy Nuboard 2.
Thanks,
Graham

Nikon D850 announced-ish
For those Nikon users interested in full frame the eagerly awaited successor to the D810 is close. Unusually Nikon has started an official teaser campaign. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epaRJ3eqKzk No real details, but likely to have better iso, WiFi, 8k time-lapse (not 8k video) and of course...

Nikon EL-15 Battery - Voluntary recall
Hi folks, For those like me who use a Nikon EN-EL15 battery there's a re-call notice out due to potential shorting risk. See http://www.diyphotography.net/nikon-recalls-popular-batteries-potential-heating-melting-issues/ dated today. I wouldn't panic, according to the article there's only been 7 cas...

Re: BIGGIN HILL FESTIVAL OF FLIGHT
Hi David, I'd favour Eastbourne too, though not sure I'm free that weekend. If the weather is favourable it's a great location, and free. Just try to get there in plenty of time parking-wise and take a long lens. Though having said that a number of the aircraft turn by the headland so can get reason...

Re: Black and White Photography Magazine's iPhone Cover Shot
Hi folks, Not sure how this fits date-wise but the Australian Vogue magazine caused a bit of disquiet amongst professional fashion photographers with their last issue. See http://fipp.com/news/industrynews/elle-australia-shoots-cover-editorial-iphone Their front cover has Margaret Zhang shot at suns...

Re: Vigil and street walk
Hi Bill, It did take a while, but having seen the professionals working away on their laptops in a nearby coffee shop on my way out I was curious as to how quickly I could process the better images. Please note only about half of what I took have been adjusted in some way and exported into jpeg form...

Vigil and street walk
In case of interest I've uploaded into a Flikr album a number of the pictures I took on the vigil Monday evening at Potters Field Park organised by the London Mayor to honour victims of the London Bridge terrorist attack. The album includes a few pictures taken beforehand at the North end of Borough...

Re: Topaz Studios - free editing tool
Looks an interesting tool. Will have to find time to try it out. As a new one appears an old suite disappears. The long expected demise of the once famous Nik Collection has occurred. See https://petapixel.com/2017/05/30/google-abandons-nik-collection-popular-photo-editing-software/ . Hopefully ther...

Re: Shooting fire dancers
Hi Nomad, Be interested myself in what you find works best. Had only one recent experience and it wasn't a good one. Came across a fire juggler outside a Shoreditch bar one evening last December, see below. Charlie-TrapezeBar_GCL2812.jpg Charlie-TrapezeBar_GCL2816.jpg Charlie-TrapezeBar_GCL2838.jpg ...

Re: Photo assignments/projects/sharing evenings
I wasn't able to make this meeting either but fully support the club doing something on the lines of Rose's suggestion. Would be a very refreshing approach and would avoid the over-judgemental character of many club competitions and the negative feelings that follow.
Cheers,
Graham
