Re: PhotoEntry Feedback
Dear Tom & Mike, I fully support using the new Photoentry system as fully as possible. i.e. Having all of the year's competitions available to populate (including print), and using the system for the annual exhibition. However, the Annual Exhibition does have extra needs that might not be so eas...

Re: World Zombie Day
Hi Iggy, Yes, that is pretty much my thinking. If it's like last year it will be easy to mingle with the participants as they complete their preparations in the Gardens. Once the march starts it's best to keep up with their slow walk, they don't always keep to time. There will I understand be four p...

Re: World Zombie Day
Hi Iggy, It could be. They have just announced it's going to start at Harrington Square Gardens at noon - the nearest station is Mornington Crescent, NW1 2JA, though it's only about a 10 min. walk from Euston Station, East side, heading North up Eversholt Street. I guess from there they will walk, s...

World Zombie Day
Hi folks, I don't know how many this would interest but there is World Zombie Day in London at Saturday, starting at noon. See https://www.picatic.com/wzd2017 I went last year and it was quite amusing. Even better, they like you to take pictures of them. It's a walk. Last year it was from St. Paul's...

Re: Nikon D850 announced-ish
Hi Mike, Personally I'm very happy working with the D810 and it's additional resolution, never seen a significant problem lens-handling-wise and it's useful to have that additional resolution when you do want to crop, such as in macro work. While the larger file-size does slow up the processing/uplo...

Re: Nikon D850 announced-ish
I saw the camera yesterday, they had two on exclusive demo at Greys of Westminster. It looks and feels very similar to the D810, a major difference is the ISO switching with the mode switch. It's now positioned on the right-hand side of the camera, similar to the placement on the new D5 and D500. Si...

Re: Mountboard Purchase 2017
Hi Mike,
No problem, was very much an after-thought anyway.
Cheers,
Graham

Re: Nikon D850 announced-ish
Thanks Mike, Good to know the detail, surprising it took so long to come out. I guess much as expected, the ability with the ES-2 Film Digitizing Adapter to copy film neg/pos is in some ways the most surprising addition. Otherwise a nice incremental progression with much more focus on satisfying the...
