Had to laugh when I spotted this scene across the street in Hong Kong ! One of those quick grab shots (slightly cropped from the original)

Re: A question regarding the new competition rules
Thanks Mike - clarification will be very welcome as I'm sure we're all considering what images we can enter this coming season.

Photoshop Elements 11 now available
Adobe have just released Photoshop Elements 11 which is now available for download. It features a completely refreshed, user-friendly interface, new guided edits, new filters, intelligent object removal and new options to organise photos. I've just purchased it (upgrading from Elements 9) and will d...

Re: Hong Kong at night
Many thanks Mike, I can see that I'm going to have to knuckle down and grips to with layers... I'm certainly no technophobe and am sure I will learn it easily but I just find the language a bit impenetrable ! I learn best from doing and am very impatient when it comes to reading instructions... I'm ...

Re: Hong Kong at night
Thanks Mike - as often happens I didn't get the opportunity to shoot at the optimum time. I'll have another go at processing and see what I come up with. I've several other shots, some of which I think have come out better than this one. I did read the instructions carefully, and I've checked again,...

Hong Kong at night
I'd welcome critique on this please. It hasn't quite worked as I hoped and doesn't have the impact I thought it would have somehow. Also not sure about the cloud in the upper left corner. I'd post the original for reference... but I'm not getting an option to upload a file attachment ? http://farm9....

Re: Selling your work
I've had two exhibitions hosted by Bromley Arts Council where I've successfully sold images. Pricing is tricky - too much and people won't buy. Too little and you are undervaluing your work. The first time I set 3 price levels according to the size of the images. Subsequently I was advised that you ...
