Re: Paul's Photo of the Month
A quick snapshot on my walk to work saw these gulls with a late addition trying to muscle in! Used the B&W adjustment layer in PS and slid down the blue control to give a more stark contrast.

Re: Paul's Photo of the Month
No light panel this month! Found a green leaf from a creeper tree at work and decided to ignore the autumnal colours and go for the textures, which of course B&W tends to bring out. I like how its got a leathery look to it. Lit from window light with white card reflector and dodged and burnt in ...

Re: Photo of the Month - 2021 - Iggy Tavares
Yes it has improved it! There still appears to be a bluish cast on the left hand side, a colour adjustment layer could remove that. In regards to the other models feet you could lighten them so they're more in keeping with the other brighter areas?

Re: Photo of the Month - 2021 - Iggy Tavares
It improves on it for me but whilst I wouldnt call it insipid it may need a subtle texture on the back or a vignette?? Lets see if anyone else has an opinion...

Re: Photo of the Month - 2021 - Iggy Tavares
It looks better to my eye already! I think the refresh of the screen has caused some blockiness around the middle left of the image which a judge would no doubt attribute to dodgy Photoshopping. It may therefore be necessary to clone out those squares. And I appreciate it was a rough and ready selec...

Re: Photo of the Month - 2021 - Iggy Tavares
Hi Iggy
I like this image and the main model looks sharp enough to me but maybe the hi-res version says otherwise. The lines from the background display are a bit distracting. I would be tempted to make a selection around the display and apply a gaussian blur just enough so those lines disappear.

Regent Street Motor Show - 6th November
Whilst looking for things to do with the kids I stumbled upon this event on Saturday 6th November - https://londoncheapo.com/events/regent- ... otor-show/
It sounds like a photo opportunity but sadly we are away that weekend so I hope someone finds this of interest!

Re: Paul's Photo of the Month
Found another use for my light panel with this months image. I brought these home-grown tomatoes into the house, rested them on some black felt and angled my light panel around until I had pleasing light. I ended up taking numerous shots and then stacked the ones I liked and used the Lighten mode fo...
Re: Snowdonia
Im so jealous! Its 5 years since I went there. I used Simon Kitchin's book and found it to be a really good resource. In fact whilst at Llyn Idwal I actually recognised the man himself doing a 1to1 tuition course! He was surprised that someone would recognise him and offered to sign my copy but beca...
