Re: Underwater photography, first steps

We saw plenty of these trigger fish and I followed this one around for several minutes, taking successive shots until got the angle I wanted. They do h...

Re: Underwater photography, first steps
Great shots David - impressive clarity and sharpness. Were you using flash or other light source ? Have you adjusted the colour balance during processing ? Underwater shots can come out very blue and murky unless you;re in shallow water with lots of light. Simon - have a great time in the Maldives -...

If it were tapas it would be perfect but the Xmas menu looks different ? Maybe I can order my meal off the ordinary menu ? I won't be able to manage 3 courses anyway.

It was good to meet you last night Simon - shame you couldn't stay longer but I look forward to seeing y...

Re: Canon 17-40
Thanks Mike - & Simon interesting that you hardly use your 24-105 now ? This has been my default carry-around lens from the day I bought it. Guess it depends on your photographic interests of course. I often pair it with the 100-400 when I go away and that combination covers most things - but I ...

Canon 17-40
Am thinking of buying a Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM lens for my 5D MKII. Anyone got one and care to share their thoughts ? I have two uses in mind - (i) indoors with flash, as I get asked to cover official events at work (ministerial events, policy launches, seminars etc); and (ii) outdoor landscapes ...

Re: A question regarding the new competition rules
I guess it's the definition of "substantial" that we're not too sure about.
